Little, Pre-Teen, & Jr. contestants must wear a purple dress of their choice. The style of the dress it up to you. No full length dresses. You will be learning a simple 2-3 min dance during rehearsals pageant weekend.
Interview - 30%
Jr. Miss TEXAS Galaxy contestants should be articulate and possess excellent social and conversational skills. delegates must be able to express themselves clearly and must project a pleasant personality. Interviews are 3 minutes in length and are conducted panel style. Focus is primarily on delegate's personal information (e.g., hobbies, ambition, etc.). Interview outfit should make your daughter feel her best. It may be a dress/outfit appropriate for an Interview, church, or a suit.
Judging criteria: conversational skill, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.
Fashionwear - 25%
Fashion wear outfit should be age appropriate and reflect your daughter’s personality. This can be a dress, a coordinated outfit, pant suit, and may be dressy. This is NOT sportswear. No full-length evening gowns, costumes, props, or additional accessories such as: umbrellas, purses etc.
Judging criteria: personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.
Evening Gown - 25%
One full-length age appropriate evening gown in a style and color that best compliments your daughter. Shoes should be clear acrylic or same color as dress.
Judging criteria: modeling, on-stage presence, beauty, poise, elegance and charm.
Photogenic - 20%
Professional photo may be retouched. However, it MUST look like the delegate. Excessively enhanced photos will not be scored. No high-glitz style photos. Photos may be with or without crown. It can be a headshot, full-length, or ¾ length. Picture MUST look like the contestant competing and should NOT be overly retouched.***Photo must be emailed to [email protected]
Judging criteria: photogenic appeal, photo quality and clarity, beauty of face, and personality.

All contestants must wear a black cocktail dress of their choice. The style of the dress it up to you. No full length dresses. You will be learning a simple 2-3 min dance during rehearsals pageant weekend.
Photogenic - 15%
TEXAS Galaxy delegates will appear in print advertising throughout their year’s reign. As contestants and potential titleholders of our pageant system winners must possess photogenic appeal. Photos may be used in the newspaper, magazines ads/articles, television news clips, etc. Photos may be with or without your crown. It can be a headshot, full-length, or ¾ length. Photo MUST look like the delegate competing and should NOT be overly retouched. Submitted photo will also be used for your 1/2 page pre-designed ad. Multiple photos may not be submitted unless you are purchasing an additional ad.

Interview - 25%
TEXAS Galaxy delegates must be able to express themselves and project a pleasant as well as approachable personality at all times. Contestants should be articulate with excellent social and conversational skills. Pageant judges will spend time with each delegate to learn about her successes, talents, goals and ambitions. Judges may ask current event questions. Attention will be focused on the contestants poise, charm, self – confidence and ability to communicate. Interviews are 5 minutes in a private setting prior to the final show. Contestants should wear a dress, cocktail suit, or pantsuit for the interview.
Judging criteria: conversational skill, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense
We truly believe in body confidence, no matter the size. Delegates should choose a suit that flatters their shape & figure. Numerical measurements are not considered in the judging. The Swimsuit may have cut-outs, mesh, and/or embellishments. Sarongs may be used. Swimsuits must be in good taste - No thongs allowed!
Fashionwear - 20%
TEXAS Galaxy delegates must be able to project their own personal sense of style. This segment will be very much like a runway fashion show. This can be a dress, a coordinated outfit, pant suit, and may be dressy. This is NOT sportswear. No full-length evening gowns, props or additional accessories such as: umbrellas, purses etc.
Judging criteria: modeling, personality, demeanor, beauty, grooming, and fashion sense.
Evening Gown - 20%
TEXAS Galaxy delegates must carry themselves with dignity, grace, poise and elegance. Teens are permitted to wear sophisticated, beaded gowns. Dress may be in any desired color and DO NOT have to be designer. Shoes should be clear acrylic, nude/tan, or same color as dress.
